One of the most powerful benefits of configuring your email software to connect to your POP3 Mail Server through RoadBlock is that you will never need to remember to run a seperate application to filter your incoming email! Unlike other software packages or proprietary "plug-ins", RoadBlock works seamlessly with any POP3 compatible email software.

This gives you the freedom to change email applications without having to change filtering software with the added advantage that you can do so without having to reconfigure the filter. As far as we know, RoadBlock is the first email filtering system on the market to make use of what is essentially Firewall Technology but at the desktop level, establishing what we term as a "POPMAIL-PROXY".

To enable your email software to work with RoadBlock, you will need to change the setting for the POP3 Server from current host (presumably the same host you configured RoadBlock to check) to the word localhost.
